Warning not to consume the Georges Restaurant Brand Spaghetti Sauce with Meat

Quebec, June 14, 2013 – MAPAQ, in collaboration with the company Les Sauces chez Georges Inc. located at 382-B, 6th Street, Saguenay, Quebec, is warning the public not to consume “SPAGHETTI SAUCE WITH MEAT OF CHEZ GEORGES ” because  the food was not prepared to ensure safety .

The product that is the subject of this warning was sold refrigerated in glass jars of 991 ml. Product labels carry an expiry time (Best Before) may extend until July 10, 2013 inclusive.

The company is voluntarily recalling the product and has agreed with MAPAQ disseminate this warning as a precaution. It should be noted that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of this food have been reported so far. People who have this product in their possession are advised not to eat it and return it to the institution where they bought it. Even if the product does not show evidence of tampering or strange odor, its use may pose a risk to health.
