Warning not to consume homemade spaghetti sauce sold in glass jars
Quebec, May 3, 2013 – MAPAQ, in collaboration with La Récré, located at 1426 Beauharnois Street, Longueuil, is warning the public not to consume homemade spaghetti sauce that is described below and which is sold by the company because it was not prepared to ensure safety.

The product that is the subject of this warning was sold chilled in glass jars at the designated facility above. The product label contains no indication of the packing date or shelf life. It should be noted that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of these foods have been reported to MAPAQ to date .
The company is voluntarily recalling the product and has agreed with MAPAQ to disseminate this warning as a precaution. Thus, people who have this product in their possession are advised not to eat it and return it to the institution where they bought it. Even if the product does not present any signs of tampering or suspicious smell, can pose a risk to health eating.
