Warning not eat crunchy carob brand Pense`e Sante`

Quebec, March 26, 2013 – The MAPAQ, in collaboration with Pense`e Sante` located at  20A, Route 271, St-Ephrem , is warning the public not to consume crunchy carob manufactured by this company because the product contains YUM peanut butter which is the subject of a consumer advisory from the Canadian Food Inspection because of possible contamination by bacteria Salmonella or other harmful bacteria.

This notice applies to all units of the products with an expiry date located between 28 April 2013 and 27 May 2013 inclusive . The product comes in a size of 280 grams, bears on its label: “MIND HEALTH TO CRUNCHY CAROB.”

The company is voluntarily recalling the product and has agreed with MAPAQ to disseminate this warning as a precaution. It should be noted that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of this food has not been reported to MAPAQ.

People who have this product in their possession are advised not to consume. They must either return it to the institution where they bought it or throw it away.
