Notice not to consume certain foods sold in glass jars
Quebec, February 4, 2013 – The MAPAQ, in collaboration with the company operating under the name Nasenka Plantation , located at 160, montée Sainte-Marie, à l’Assomption, is warning the public not to consume the products described below because they have not been prepared so as to ensure safety.
|Spaghetti sauce||500 and 750 ml|
|Chile Nasenka||500 ml|
|Scottish stew||500 ml|
|Salsa Dionisos||250 and 500 ml|
Products which are the subject of this warning were sold non-refrigerated , in glass jars like Mason , until February 1, 2013 at the above named establishment. These products were also sold at the booth of the institution held during the last Christmas market in L’Assomption. They are marked “NASENKA PLANTATION” , but do not have the date of manufacture or expiry. It should be stated that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of these products have been reported to date MAPAQ.
The operator is voluntarily recalling the product and has agreed with the Ministry to circulate this announcement as a precautionary measure. Thus, people who have any of these products in their possession are advised not to eat it and return to the institution where they bought it or throw it away. Even if the products concerned do not show signs of tampering or smell spoiled, consumption may pose a risk to health.
