Warning not to consume chicken sauce for vol-au-vent in glass jar
Quebec, January 22, 2013 – MAPAQ, in collaboration with the Division of Food Inspection Agency of the City of Montreal and Patisserie La Lorraine Inc., located at 160 Boulevard Brien in Repentigny, is warning the public not to consume chicken sauce for vol-au-vent described below and sold by the company if it has not been kept in the refrigerator at all times since its purchase.
This product does not contain the words “Keep Refrigerated” on the container.
The product that is the subject of this warning was sold only at the designated facility above, in 500 ml & 1 litre glass jars, with or without a label until 11 January 2013 inclusive .
SAUCE FOR CHICKEN VOL-AU-VENT
The company is voluntarily recalling the product and has agreed with MAPAQ and the Division of Food Inspection Agency of the City of Montreal to broadcast this warning as a precaution. It should be noted that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of these foods have been reported so far. People who have this product in their possession are advised not to eat it and return to the institution where they bought it. Even if the product does not show evidence of tampering or smell spoiled, its use may pose a risk to health.
