MAPAQ Warning not to consume certain cheeses

Quebec, July 6, 2012 – MAPAQ, in collaboration with the company operating under the nameFromagerie Boivin , warning people who are in possession of the products described below do not eat them because they can be contaminated with a toxin of the bacteria Staphylococcus. These products, made from cheese that was recalled by the Fromagerie St-Fidele inc. and that is the subject of a recall from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), were packed by Fromagerie Boivin and sold only in the Saguenay-Lac St-Jean and Côte- North

Products that are the subject of this warning on their labels include, in addition to their name,the words “Fromagerie Boivin . ” It should be stated that no cases of illness associated with consumption of these foods have been reported to date MAPAQ.
