Update to the list of affected products for certain ground beef products produced at Establishment 761

OTTAWA, March 22, 2012 – As a result of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) continued investigation, the list of products provided in the Health Hazard Alert issued on March 19, 2012 has been updated.

List of Affected Products
The following products have been removed from the list of affected products.

This recall is part of an ongoing food safety investigation. The CFIA is working with the responsible company and distributors to identify all affected products and verify all information regarding the products listed in the table. As information becomes available, it will be updated in the table on the CFIA website to help consumers identify all affected products.

In addition to their brand names and codes, the affected products listed can be identified by the Establishment number that appears on the packages, cartons or cases. The products made at this facility bear Establishment number (EST) 761.

This recall is part of an ongoing food safety investigation. The CFIA is working with the responsible company to identify all affected products. As this information becomes available, it will be immediately included in the table on the CFIA website to help consumers identify all affected products.
